Some day there will be a bio on Willie Brown that will actually cover just how he became so very powerful in CA politics, what his tactics were as he moved up, the connections and money involved. Why he pushed Kamala on us via SF and California is a chapter all by itself. Just because they had an affair is not sufficient explanation.
It’s interesting that in all the years I followed Bay Area politics I don’t recall seeing anything referencing deep political connections between Pelosi and Brown. Those connections have to be there…the two most powerful influences in this state, and one with national influence that boggles my mind.
(BTW, also interesting that rare mention is made to Pelosi’s father having been mayor of Baltimore, she has been quoted as saying she learned at his feet.)
