The Biden Administration engaged in another nakedly political shift in immigration policy on Tuesday when Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that Cubans and Haitians fleeing to the United States by boat would not be eligible to make asylum applications if they reach US shores – presumably in Florida.
