Update — a Minnesota Appeals Court issued a ruling today that may allow prosecutors to again charge Chauvin with third-degree murder. I have not read the decision so I cannot speak to how the new decision actually applies to the Chauvin case. It is possible that the case could go to the Minnesota Supreme Court for further review.
