Indicting Barack -- It Can Be Done And Here Is How.
"Pinkerton" refers to more than just a Private Detective Agency in the 1800s.
Let me start with a few table-setters that are all assumed to be true and there would be evidence developed as part of any Grand Jury investigation to make them the premise of an indictment.
The multi-faceted effort over a period of several months covering the second half of 2016, and into early 2017, to invent a fictional connection between President Trump and the Russian Government/Vladimir Putin, was the single worst political dirty trick in U.S. history. But that effort was not, in itself, a criminal act.
After the Trump Administration took office in January 2017, both the House and Senate were in the control of the Republicans. On March 20, 2017, James Comey testified before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, chaired by Devin Nunes. During that hearing the following exchange took place between Rep. Elise Stefanik and Comey:
No later than this date, the HPSCI began an investigation as to how it was the FBI, a component of the Department of Justice, came to be conducting criminal and counter-intelligence investigations of the newly elected President of the United States — having begun doing so several months prior to the election — without ever informing Congress of its basis for doing so. The Senate Intelligence Committee initiated a similar investigation.
Nearly the entire time between January 2017 and now, one or both Houses of Congress have had ongoing investigations into the 2016 election and the “conclusions” of various government agencies that the Russians 1) interfered in the election and/or 2) that the Russians/Putin sought to bring about a Trump victory over Hillary Clinton.
Over the past 10 days, various intelligence officials in the current Trump Administration have begun to publish records recently declassified that seem to reveal a coordinated effort to fabricate and then circulate the false narrative that Putin sought to help Trump win. This false narrative — which was contrary to legitimate information obtained by the intelligence community — became the “factual” basis for continuing the investigation of Trump and his campaign into and nearly through the entirety of his first Administration. It has also been the false narrative carried by the media and Democrat party to this day for the purpose of delegitimizing Trump’s win in an effort to discredit his Presidency.
Based on news reports and interviews — including interviews of current and former GOP members of Congress who had some involvement in various congressional investigations of the Russia Collusion Hoax, many of these documents were never produced to Congress even though they fit the description of documents that were the subject of congressional subpoenas.
Further, some of the documents contain information that is seemingly at odds with testimony provided by witnesses before various congressional committees of both the House and Senate over several years.
Again, going through the details of what is paraphrased in the few paragraphs above is not the subject of this article. So, for my purposes here, I’m assuming that all the conclusions set forth above are true:
The Russia Collusion Hoax was a false narrative purposely invented and spread using official government agency work product to first spy on the Trump campaign, and later to hamstring the new Trump Administration.
Congressional inquiries into various issues related to the Hoax have been ongoing as part of Congress’ oversight responsibilities of DOJ and the Intelligence Community.
Information now being released has never before been made public, and some of this information is being seen by current and former members of Congress for the first time.
Some of this information fit within the categories of information that Congress sought from various Executive branch agencies over the past 8 years but was never provided.
Some of the information is inconsistent with answers provided during testimony before Congressional committees by various law enforcement and intelligence agency officials over the past 8 years.
Which leads me to this question:
What if the investigation into a criminal conspiracy surrounding the Russia Collusion Hoax was not about the hoax itself, but instead looks at the ongoing effort to mislead or otherwise obstruct Congress from finding out how the Hoax itself came about, and interfere with congressional investigations into the conduct and the motives of the various actors involved?
